Society6 is seeking an experienced Director of Business Analytics to join its team. The ideal candidate is very comfortable analyzing day-to-day business metrics and identifying trends as well as opportunities for the business.
Responsibilities:
Proactively identify opportunities and trends, and deliver insights designed to increase the yield of Society6
Oversee and analyze day-to-day business metrics for Society6
Create and maintain dashboards and ad hoc reports
Work closely with the management team to understand Society6 business goals and objectives
Translate business needs and goals into effective A/B and multivariate test plans, including test variables, designing test criteria and method, and creating and executing tests using Optimizely
Analyze and effectively communicate results to key stakeholders and recommend implementations
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design to implement tests and product changes
Recommend and improve processes by working with team members to deliver business solutions
Leverage the Analytics team for deeper insights into business performance
Requirements:
7-10 years of experience in ecommerce business analytics
Requires strong SQL report writing experience with deep knowledge developing complex queries across multiple tables
Strong understanding of customer acquisition and lifetime value metrics
Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, and Adobe SiteCatalyst)
Experience with optimization testing tools (Optimizely, Adobe/Omniture Test & Target, Optimost, Google Website Optimizer)
Proven experience with routine A/B and multivariate testing
Good business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze, and extract implications from data
Demonstrated success in a results-driven, collaborative environment
Strong analytical thinking and business savvy
Resourceful, proactive, and creative problem solver
Ability to manage expectations and prioritize initiatives based on potential gains and alignment with business goals
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with PowerPoint
