Job Overview: The Director of Site Analytics is responsible for leading analysis and driving insights for the Macy’s site and app customer experience.  The Director will lead a team of analysts to build best-in-class analytics frameworks allowing the site merchandising team and the broader digital business to make critical daily decisions. The Director will partner closely with the Director of Product Analytics & Experimentation to ensure data accuracy and define tracking enhancements.  The Director will advocate for using analytics to drive business decisions translating key insights into actions. The Director must be highly analytical, organized, and possess great communication and presentation skills.   Key Accountabilities:   The Director of Site Analytics responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Analytics & Insights Establish standard reporting and analysis frameworks to enable Site Merchandising and broader digital organization to make critical business decisions.Identify and develop reporting KPIs to measure event, promotion and project performance.Provide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting across finance, web analytics and operations for the digital business.Identify opportunities to automate and enhance existing reporting and analysis processes.Work with management and partners to prioritize business and information needs.Define and execute audits of analytics tracking to ensure accuracy in data collection across analytics systems.Influence reporting and analytics development roadmap across enterprise.Business Revenue and Analytics Advocacy Provide thought leadership on leveraging analytics to improve site merchandising, omni-channel, owned and vendor direct operations.Advocate sound best practices and develop training to ensure teams utilize data and tools effectively.Develop prioritization framework to communicate business & customer value to cross-functional partners and influence resource allocation.Champion a point-of-view to leadership teams, articulating the relative importance of various initiatives that are ready to move to the development phase.Raise awareness of team’s plans, insights and accomplishments in order to facilitate cooperation across departments and to build a highly performing, highly motivated team.People Leadership / Team Management Lead and supervise a team of analysts. Prioritize team work load ensuring resources are focused on the most important problems.Develop team’s technical and presentation skill to ensure analytic insights are clearly communicated.Career development – train, motivate and develop team members for continued growth.Develop presentations and present at team meetings.Past team management experience required.  Requirements: B.A. required; Master’s degree in Statistics, Analysis, Mathematics or related fields referred. Minimum 7 years of experience in e-commerce and/or retail analytics.Experience in digital merchandising, product management or marketing preferred Advanced analytical skills, turning metrics into actionable strategies.Expert level proficiency in web analytics tools, preferably Adobe Analytics.  Proficiency in Tableau and other data visualization tools as well as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.Ability to work in a deadline driven environment, handle changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple priorities. Comfortable with being “hands-on” to manage tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.  Strong problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to present and influence immediate team and across functions. Experience presenting to senior management. Effectively train, coach and develop team of direct reports at varying levels.                Must be self-motivated, action-oriented, creative problem solver.Ability to work well independently within a multi-functional, multi-campus team with a keen understanding of their role in the overall workflow. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; must be able to work effectively on a team and with various parts of the organization. Ability to maximize the contribution of all team members.This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and other office equipment.  Must be able to view complex data for extended periods of time. Requires regular walking, standing, lifting up to 10 lbs., hearing, and talking. Involves close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. When required, must have the ability to manage the physical demands of business travel.Ability to make immediate sound decisions and when need able to influence peers and across functions.
