Principal Analyst, Digital Analytics','MAC19725','!*!Overview:  Macy’s is looking for an analyst with e-commerce or consulting experience and business acumen to fill the role of Principal, Digital Analytics. The Principal is responsible for analyzing the health of the digital business and working cross-functionally to understand trends and recommend opportunities to drive growth. You are a great fit if you have experience working with cross-functional teams, consulting to internal business stakeholders, creating a data-driven culture, and you’re passionate about digital retail. We’re looking for someone who has the analytical and storytelling skills to surface meaningful insights and the interpersonal skills to communicate insights in a compelling, proactive, relevant way. The Principal will partner directly with the VP of Digital Analytics to identify opportunities and connect the Digital Analytics function with the larger enterprise.  Perform other duties as assigned.   Essential Functions: Collaboration & Analysis:Provide analytics thought leadership to digital and enterprise partners on best practices for leveraging data to drive the business.Strong collaborator who can influence partners and represent the Digital Analytics function in key stakeholder meetings. Lead special projects for Digital Analytics working closely with Digital Strategy & Enterprise teams.Develop analysis frameworks and presentations to share key insights with the enterprise. Integrate 3rd party or digital market data into conversations to better understand performance.Develop prioritization framework to communicate business & customer value to cross-functional partners and influence resource allocation.  Qualifications:  Education/Experience: B.A. required; MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting, strategy, and e-commerce /or retail analytics. Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.Solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, and feel. Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.Requires close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Other Skills:Experience in digital merchandising, product management or marketing preferred. Experience with web analytics tools, preferably Adobe Analytics.  Expertise in SQL, data manipulation; experience with Tableau or other visualization platforms a plus.Must be able to view complex data for extended periods of time. Work Schedule: Full Time – Ability to work a flexible schedule based on need.
