Position Summaryu00a0 The Search/ Social Director serves as the primary day-to-day client contact on a specific piece of business.u00a0This role involves deep client vertical knowledge which leads to managing the Account Plan, developing and executing innovative Paid Social/Search media plans and cross-discipline, and is responsible for ensuring that the client receives comprehensive media and communications plans that address their strategic objectives. Essential Functionsu00a0 Key participant in strategic media planning and execution Serves as a resource for managers, sr. analysts / analysts for advice and counsel Recommends targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media and content strategies Becomes an expert in the clientu2019s business and builds trusted partnerships with all levels of clients Ensures best practices are applied across account responsibilities Demonstrates ability to present and sell strategies/plans through to the client Proactively seeks out and studies information to remain current on media trends Recognizes and acts on opportunities to grow business Primary client contact and interface for the search/social business Primary contact for partner agencies for the search/social business Relationship liaison between the client, the partner agency and the search/social practice Develops client / partner agency presentations and leads all external communication on strategy Develops search/social strategy in conjunction with peers who work on the campaigns Prioritizes, manages and ensures the timeliness and quality of client deliverables Develops a deep understanding of the client business, relates this to the growth of the search/social practice and effectively communicates this to the teams Identifies up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through strategic and tactical campaign management, with detailed attention to profitability and client success Interpretation of client reports, with specific insight to testing validation and refinement of campaign strategies Support external Business Development and Marketing initiatives such as sales pitches, case studies, etc. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required Concentration in Marketing or a related field is preferable Work Experience: 6-8 years of experience in media/search/paid social agency, advertising agency, direct marketing, cable/broadcasting or similar media environment. Experience in a previous search engine marketing role is preferred. SEO experience is a plus Skills:u00a0 Ability to judge and quantify results of advertising efforts placed on behalf of our clients (i.e., understand/describe impact of results, compare actual results to needs of client) and the knowledge of how to apply this information in future campaigns. Senior level client negotiation and management skills with the ability to write clearly and to make lively, imaginative but substantive presentations Working knowledge of online performance tracking and measurement tools as well as leading edge media target profiling technology Well versed on the latest news within the industry that fuel opinions on latest trends for clients to consider Proven ability to represent company philosophies and expertise to external parties; including clients and partner agencies Continued enthusiasm towards the medium and the desire to constantly educate oneu2019s self on the latest information Experience in growing, managing and inspiring internal search/social teams; strong leadership and administrative skills Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication skills and positive attitude Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers Strong understanding of cross channel planning, demonstrating strong coordination of digital media efforts. Extensive experience writing and presenting relevant information (inclusive of case studies and quarterly business reviews) Understanding of marketing and communications process, and ability to execute streamlined processes across clients, media partners, and other agencies.
