The Social Media and Content Manager will lead the strategic development of PetCoach’s social media channels with the main purpose of increasing engagement, retention and brand awareness. This includes defining, implementing and maintaining the overall strategy for community development, content production, social engagement, and user customer support.
Additionally, the Social Media and Content Manager will be actively involved in helping curate, publish and promote content for petcoach.co and any other related properties.
Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Social Media Management (40%)
Strategically define and implement long-term social media campaigns consistent with the company's voice and marketing strategies.
Analyze and identify best-performing publications, seasonal search terms, and industry’s trending topics and adjust social media strategy accordingly.
Select and provide engaging text, image and video content for social media publications on a regular basis.
Define, track and analyze social media KPIs.
Content Management (40%)
Review and publish on petcoach.co content created by editors and generated by PetCoach experts.
Identify content opportunities based on trends, keywords and seasonality, to ensure content is ever-improving and highly engaging.
Help manage and update editorial calendars, as needed.
Participate in weekly newsletters strategy and execution.
Customer Service (20%)
Respond to user queries in a timely manner, through social media and email.
Define voice and tone for all customer facing communications, fine-tune internal customer service processes, and create documents to reflect these.
Test, monitor and report to product team on user feedback and technical difficulties reported by users.
Position reports directly to the Marketing Director of PetCoach, who will oversee all work initially.
The majority of job duties are performed while seated indoors at a computer terminal. Due to the unpredictable nature of social media and customer service, if a candidate is available to answer sporadical/urgent messages off hours, it would be a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration (Management), Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for a degree. Requires a minimum of two (2) years of digital marketing and social media experience with brands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to provide creative thinking across a variety of projects.
Excellent understanding of social media strategies and ability to identify and track relevant community metrics.
Basic understanding of SEO, and basic Microsoft Office and photo editing skills.','Social Media & Content Mgr
