About the Marketing Team
Over the past year, we have completely transformed our user experience and business model, and we are about to enter a phase of company growth that is powered by paid channels more than ever before. To enable this, we’re building our paid marketing team, and investing Engineering, Product, and Analytics resources to partner with Marketing to build the channels, tools and product experiences that will help drive paid growth.
The next 12-18 months will be transformational for paid marketing at Thumbtack, and you’ll be on the ground floor of crafting and executing our strategy.
About the Role
You’ll manage our SEM channel day-to-day, driving customer acquisition by optimizing existing campaigns, launching new campaigns, and working with Engineering, Analytics and Product team members to build new infrastructure that enables us to scale our spend rapidly.

Develop, execute, and measure large scale search marketing campaigns
Monitor and analyze search campaign performance to drive continuous improvements in KPIs
Partner with digital marketing peers to deliver campaigns meeting company business objectives
Constantly dive into campaign performance metrics to maximize yield and surface new learnings for digital acquisition and the company in general
Leading testing and optimization efforts around ad creatives and landing pages to maximize yield
Staying current on SEM best practices and the competitive landscape
3 years experience in search engine marketing working on large-scale, high volume search programs
Fluent in search marketing platforms Google Adwords and BingAds
Experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing projects and tools
Highly attentive to detail, strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mind
Strong analytical skills, including experience in spreadsheets, SQL, analytics and bid management tools
Ability to work cross functionally with Engineering, Product and Analytics teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with AdWords API / Scripts, Github, Python, and Scala
Experience with pixel and tag management system
Experience marketing to both consumer and business audiences
Experience in mobile marketing and analytics
Experience at a high growth tech company
