The Digital Merchandiser plays a key role in supporting the direct-to-consumer (DTC) online business. They are responsible for assortment planning, site merchandising, and website performance analytics in the service of overall business objectives. Being willing to test and iterate, being data driven while having product instincts will be key to the success in the role. This position works in close collaboration with planning, marketing, creative, merchandising and development teams to create and execute a online merchandising strategy.

Assortment Planning / Merchandising
Assort and merchandise the product line to meet financial plans, optimize assortment incorporating channel and brand objectives.
Partner and collaborate with brand merchandising, marketing, and planning to ensure the seasonal, global assortment meets the online customer and business needs.
Develop and execute seasonal product category strategies that align with financial goals for the ECOM channel.
Evaluate and execute linking strategies to optimize conversion and drive the customer to the best possible site experience.
Create a compelling product experience on the site, including inspirational merchandise presentation, simple and intuitive category navigation, and clear and accurate product details.
Update, test, analyze web marketing content
Manage and execute the launch of new season styles onto the website with cross functional teams to ensure assortment and product content is accurate, calls out customer benefits (features & functions), considers SEO, and reflects brand voice
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure promotional activity, and customer communications lead to desired business results.
Build effective metric goals and merchandising plan to grow conversion, sales and margin across the site, including ecommerce exclusives
Analyze and use data to guide ongoing improvements to merchandising and marketing
Drive strategy and performance of site search through an analysis of data, an understanding of customer intent, business context, and internal variables.
Seasonal review of product returns and customer product ratings highlighting results
Review and analyze competitor site merchandising, promotional tactics, user experience, product representation and taxonomy. Report findings and provide counter-strategies when appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, retail, or equivalent work experience.
2-4 years of merchandising experience, preferably with an online focus for a multi-channel retailer.
2+ years of SEO knowledge preferred.
Experience with Shopify is a plus.
Strong Microsoft Office or Google Suite skills required.
