Job Overview: The primary responsibility of the Senior Site Merchandise Manager is to develop online merchandising strategies and lead a team in executing those strategies while partnering with cross-functional teams to maximize the customer experience within a family of business. This position reports to the Director of Site Merchandising and has multiple direct reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: MERCHANDISING • Utilize website analytics to manage product category structure and navigation • Partner with Buyers and Vendors to develop business driving opportunities and ensure optimal product placement • Lead a team in executing merchandising strategies for site editorial content, new navigation, assortment layout and general website merchandising, to enhance upcoming assortments and expose trends • Strategize methods for increasing product relevancy, developing new opportunities, and ensuring consistency within the on-site search platform STRATEGY • Translate in-store strategies into the online experience, ensuring an Omni-channel approach • Partner with Buying and Marketing to develop campaign planning strategies for all Marketing assets • Utilize site metrics to strategize and develop landing page best practices for messaging imagery and linking • Optimize category navigation structure through analysis and upcoming product assortments • Partner with cross-functional teams to suggest and implement site enhancements • Understand competitive landscape and make recommendations to improve business REPORTING • Leverage website analytics to improve the overall customer experience and conversion metrics • Analyze landing page click thru summaries to develop future landing page strategies • Develop strategies for future special projects based on past performance reporting and enhanced capabilities RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal cross-functional partners, vendors and peers • Collaborate with other Site Merchandise Managers to develop cross-site strategies and ensure consistent messaging • Manage, mentor and develop multiple direct reports CREATIVE ASSET MANAGEMENT • Responsible for writing creative briefs for upcoming marketing exposures and owning all rounds of edits • Develop new strategies to enhance brief messaging and drive the customer to click • Review final assets to ensure accuracy of imagery, messaging, and linking • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: Education/Experience: • Bachelor's Degree • Minimum of 5 years' experience in e-commerce, preferably within the fashion or retail industry • Previous website merchandising experience preferred • Previous management experience, preferably with multiple direct reports Communication Skills: • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, vendors and cross-functional partners • Excellent communication and organizational skills Other Skills: • Proven negotiation skills and leadership skills • Strong PC and MS Office skills, proficient in Excel and Word • Strong business analytics skills, preferably experience with Coremetrics • Must be detail-oriented with an ability to effectively prioritize workload Work Hours: • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
